Republicans hate taxes -- NOT!

Next time one of your conservative pals tells you that, quite unlike Democrats, Republicans loathe taxes, tell ’em about Virginia legislator David B. Albo (R-Springfield). Albo slipped a “driver responsibility tax” into a larger transportation funding bill signed into law by Governor Tim Kaine. Beginning next Sunday, Virginia residents can now expect to pay a new traffic ticket tax that can boost penalties beyond $3,550. And here’s the corker: Republican Albo is a senior partner in the Albo & Oblon, LLP traffic law firm, which expects to see big jumps in business from clients fighting these costly new traffic fines.
