Che redux
Without targeting me by name, Tom Novak has ripped me a new one for my recent defense of the Che Guevara image. You can find his post from yesterday right here. Thanks for your discretion, Tom!
Unfinished essays and spontaneous eruptions on radical politics and popular culture

Scorn was the weapon chosen by Mel Brooks when he proposed a musical comedy called SPRINGTIME FOR HITLER. THE MOTORCYCLE DIARIES, on the other hand, is a Major Motion Picture extolling the warmth and humanity of CHE, that splendid Leninist who has caused the murder of a suffient number of human beings to qualify as Stalin's "Statistic". The misery of the survivors is the legacy, which his "Praise Singers" labor to shunt down the Memory Hole. Let us hope that his shade is cup-bearer to Pol Pot in Hell, scurrying about to bring his Dread Master the daily ration of molten lead to slake a perpetually gnawing thirst.
