Hiroshima: The Sequel

Sixty-two years ago today, the U.S. followed-up its destruction of Hiroshima, Japan, by likewise bombing Nagasaki. This was the U.S. government's second terrorist act in four days.

Dunno that I can agree with you there.

The reality of the world being what it was, I'm not sure that the bombings (yes, both of them) weren't the best of the bad choices available.

Don't forget the insanity that was Japan at that time. (By which I refer NOT to their cruelty - which is irrelevant as well as having been not too much out of the ordinary for conquerers, but their fanatic zeal to fight to the last man so long as they had the remotest possibility of wining the war [or at least of fighting it valorously for honor and Emperor].)
